Honda sold 2,80,790 units of the Activa last month.
ET Auto has compiled a list of the 10 best selling two-wheelers in the month of August 2016 which reveals that the Activa retains the top position and continues to maintain a healthy lead over the Hero Splendor.
HMSI (Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India) has sold 2,80,790 units of the Activa last month, which is a 29 percent growth in sales over the same month last year. Combined with sales of other products as well as exports, HMSI has managed to register an all time high figure in August.
In second place is the Hero Splendor, which has registered a growth of 26 percent over August 2015. This growth could be attributed to the launch of the Hero Splendor iSmart, which has supplemented the Splendor’s lead in the 100-110 cc motorcycle category.

Hero MotoCorp has announced that 15 new products are in the pipeline for launch in this fiscal, which include the Hero Super Splendor and Hero Passion Pro with the company’s i3S technology, and the new Hero Achiever 150. This is expected to strengthen Hero’s lineup and appeal in India.
