Will be launched in Q3 2016.
As Bajaj continues its final testing of the bike, the Bajaj Pulsar CS400 was spied yet again on the streets, this time in Pimpri in Pune, courtesy RushLane. The Pulsar CS400, set to be the sportiest (production) Pulsar ever made, has been confirmed by Bajaj Auto President (Business Development & Assurance) S Ravikumar for a launch in the third quarter of the year (July-September). It will mark Bajaj’s foray into the premium motorcycle segment.

The production Bajaj Pulsar CS400 will look nearly the same as its concept version which was shown at Auto Expo 2014. Some mechanical changes made in the production version have already been revealed in previous spyshots, but apart from that, the specifications are merely speculative as of now. The production version uses a conventional telescopic front suspension in place of the upside-down unit seen on the concept version, and the seats have been given a minor change.

The Bajaj Pulsar CS400 will pack the most powerful engine a Bajaj Pulsar has ever got. It’s expected to be the 375 cc single-cylinder engine that develops 44 PS (43.38 hp) and 35 Nm of torque in the KTM Duke 390. Bajaj won’t just borrow the engine from KTM and leave it there though, it will add its triple-spark ignition technology to the engine. The KTM-sourced engine will be mated to a 6-speed transmission. The CS400 is expected to be priced around 1.8 lakhs before taxes and other on-road costs.
