The TVS XL 100 is now on sale in Maharashtra for an ex-Showroom price of INR 28,843. The 100 cc moped is being launched across the country in a phased manner. It is already on sale in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttarkhand, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Pondicherry and Andaman Nicobar.
Power comes from a 99.7 cc four-stroke engine capable of 4.2 PS and 6.3 Nm of torque, and a top speed of 60 km/h. Under TVS’s testing conditions, the XL 100 is claimed to return 67 km/l. Braking power comes from drum brakes at the front and rear (80 mm up front and 110 mm at the rear). The moped is suspended by a telescopic spring up front and a swingarm with hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear.
The new XL 100 is available in a choice of five colors: black, red, green, blue and grey. It features an easy kick-start, a redesigned muffler, a bigger tank and stainless steel brake cables.

It also offers a broader seat, a detachable rear seat with a flatbed platform, and a wider front platform to enable more space. TVS also mentions that the XL 100 gets a new ‘easy center stand’ for which the company is awaiting a patent.
