Yamaha has introduced three new dual-tone colours for its Alpha scooter. This update has been given to increase appeal of the scooter among young customers.

Yamaha Alpha in Beaming Blue
The dual-tone variants are available at a premium of almost INR 1,000 over the old model that is sold for INR 48,936, taking the price to a total of INR 49,939 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new colours are Rocking Red, Beaming Blue and Gleaming Gold.

Yamaha Alpha in Gleaming Gold
There are no changes to the mechanicals. Powering the Alpha will be the same 113 cc, single cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled engine with Blue Core technology driving the wheel through a CVT automatic gearbox. This unit produces 7 bhp at 7500 rpm and peak torque of 8.1 Nm which kicks in at 5000 rpm.
Stopping power is provided by drum brakes at both front and rear. The Alpha delivers fuel efficiency figure of 66 km/l.

Yamaha Alpha in Rocking Red
Features that come with the Alpha such as telescopic suspension, handle mount headlight, long comfortable seat, large footboard with hook and a storage space of 21 liters, are carried forward into the dual tone colour variants.
