Both will launch this year.
DSK MotoWheels has showcased the Benelli Tornado 300 and the Benelli TRK 502 at the Auto Expo 2016 in Greater Noida. Both models are bound to be launched in India this year.
Benelli Tornado 300:
Unveiled at the EICMA in Milan last year as the Tornado 302, the Benelli Tornado 300 is the fully-faired version of the Benelli TNT 302 which is on sale in India as the Benelli TNT 300. The Tornado variant is underpinned by the same steel trellis chassis, and uses the same 300 cc liquid-cooled engine with an inline twin-cylinder.
The motor on the Tornado 302 is offered in a different state of tune though the engine is borrowed from the street fighter. Its power and torque figures are 35 hp at 12,000 rpm and 27 Nm of peak torque at 9,000 rpm. The transmission system is a six-speed unit. The Tornado 300 will be launched in/around June 2016, reportedly.
Benelli TRK 502:
The Benelli TRK 502 also had its world premiere at the 2015 EICMA in Milan. There are two versions of the TRK 502 – one is a city-friendly bike with regular road tyres and the other has dual purpose tyres as it is meant for adventure touring. DSK showcased the latter at the Auto Expo 2016. Both are powered by a new 500 cc liquid-cooled inline twin-cylinder engine that produces 48 PS of power at 8,500 rpm and 45 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm, and mated to a six-speed gearbox. The TRK 502 will be launched in India in/around September 2016, reportedly.
