Second model with high displacement to be locally assembled.
Honda Motorcycles India has unveiled the Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin at the Auto Expo 2016 today. It will be the second high displacement bike from Honda’s range to be assembled in India, first being the Honda CBR650F.
The off-road tourer is powered by a new dry-sump 998 cc parallel-twin engine with SOHC, designed specifically for a low center of gravity. It has proven its mettle at one of the world’s toughest races – the Dakar rally. It features a 270° phased crank, Unicam 4 valve-per-cylinder head and dry sump and common crankcases for both DCT and manual 6-speed gearbox versions.
Standard features include ABS and traction control, both of which can be turned off. The motorcycle also features Honda Selectable Torque Control.
