PT TVS Motor Company Indonesia has revealed the name of the upcoming all-new Apache series, as the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. The suffix 4V denotes the 4-valve configuration of the motorcycle’s new, 200 cc engine. Given that the motor is believed to have an SOHC arrangement, the Apache 200 can be expected to have a high, low-end torque output.
The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V would be priced close to INR 1 lakh (ex-showroom).
Aside from announcing the name of the model, and its tagline as “Uncover the racer in you”, the company has started a social media contest for its followers in Indonesia, winners of which will get to test ride the Apache RTR 200 4V at the Sentul International Circuit on January 21. The model is scheduled to launch in India on January 20.
The engine of the Apache RTR 200 can be expected to have a strong low-end torque.

The specifications of the new flagship Apache and its engine are reported to be derived from the Apache RTR 180 while the styling is inspired by the Draken X21 concept. It is reported to be offered with 17-inch alloy wheels wearing TVS tyres of 90/90 profile at front and 130/70 at the rear. The front disc brake is of 270 mm diameter and that of the rear is 250 mm. Dual channel ABS is expected to be offered as an option.
