Last week, BMW Motorrad India launched the BMW G 310 R in India, and if that wasn't enough, just a day later India Kawasaki Motors introduced the locally made Kawasaki Ninja 300.

[caption id="attachment_310302" align="aligncenter" width="770"] The BMW G 310 R rivals the KTM 390 Duke and is priced at INR 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).[/caption]

The Kawasaki Ninja 300 is not a direct rival to the BMW G 310 R; however, this comparison is merely pricing based. While the G 310 R is a naked streetfighter, the Ninja 300 is an entry-level supersport. The G 310 R is locally manufactured by TVS in India, while Kawasaki assembles the Ninja 300 via CKD units with some localized parts.

Interestingly though, despite its local manufacturing, the completely Made-in-India G 310 R costs INR 1,000 more than the localized Kawasaki Ninja 300. The BMW G 310 R is priced at INR 2.99 lakh, while the Assembled-in-India Ninja 300 costs INR 2.98 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom Delhi). Both are premium bike manufacturers and compete in India and global markets. Here's a spec-level comparison between the Ninja 300 & G 310 R.
