This version is the GenZe 2.0f, and costs USD 4,299 in the American market.

The media house reports that the Mahindra GenZe is undergoing tests either as a whole product or as a derivation of the actual model for the Indian market. Designed and sold in the US market, the GenZe is a form of sustainable zero-emission transportation for urban customers. The name stands for Generation Zero Emissions.

In the USA three models of GenZe electric scooter are retailed. The original 2.0 has a front storage area, adjustable seat and open back bay for modularity. It connects with the GenZe app, but with some features limited. The GenZe 2.0s has lower handlebars, a new front fascia, and a sporty look. It comes with enhanced app features, including the ability to track and disable your scooter remotely to protect you from theft, and three years of 3G telematics data included. A more practical variant, the GenZe 2.0f has an electronically locking centre kick-stand for added security; and a hard-case lockable storage compartment as well, apart from the app-compatible touchscreen display.

The GenZe 2.0 costs USD 2,999, while the 2.0s costs USD 3,699 in the USA.

The test mule is the GenZe 2.0f model, complete with the centre stand and the top box. The GenZe comes with a 1.6 kWh removable lithium-ion battery. It can offer a range of up to 30 miles (48.2 km); and has a top speed of 30 mph (48.2 kmph). It takes 3.5 hours to charge fully using a 110v ac 5 amps input power. It was reported in October last year that Mahindra is looking to bring the GenZe into the Indian market. Besides this, the Indian auto major is also working on an electric version of the Gusto scooter.
