The UM Renegade Electric will be launched in the country later this year, reports BikeWale. In the beginning, it will be sold only in Delhi as it reportedly has the best charging infrastructure in the country.
The website reports that the bike is built on a completely new platform, which will be a base for future electric motorcycles. The electric cruiser employs a 30 kW electric motor that is good for 50 bhp of power. The range stands at 150 km; and using the fast charging option, the battery can be charged to 80% in just 40 minutes.
The brand showcased the UM Renegade electric at the 2017 EICMA show in Milan, Italy. UM will be showcasing the bike at the 2018 Auto Expo in the country next month. The brand has reportedly narrowed down the pricing to INR 6-7 lakhs for the Renegade Electric. When launched, it would be the most expensive offering from the brand. The bike will also be the country’s first electric cruiser, kick-starting the revolution in the cruiser segment.
