The Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise was launched today at an ex-showroom New Delhi price of INR 84,000. It is one of three versions of the 2016 Bajaj Avenger launched concurrently.
The Avenger 220 Cruise is mechanically the same as the 220 Street, except for difference in features such as the handlebar, back rest and the like.
Notable features on the 220 Cruise model include a new Avenger badging on the fuel tank, new body graphics that complement the chrome-intensive scheme, a new analog-digital instrument cluster with an LCD display showing trip and odo readings inside a conventional speedometer dial, a new handlebar for cruising comfort, an expansive windscreen, a new exhaust pipe, revised seating and a rear tyre with a wider profile.
The 220 Cruise and the 220 Street are priced the same, at INR 84,000 ex-showroom Delhi.
The new Avenger 220 Cruise is driven by the same engine featured on the older Avenger. It is a 220 cc single-cylinder DTS-i engine with an oil-cooler, mated to a 5-speed transmission. The power and torque specifications are 19.03 PS at 8,400 rpm and 17.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm.
