UM Motorcycles has exported the first lot of Made in India bikes to Nepal. These include the UM Renegade Commando and UM Renegade Sport S. The bikes are made at UM Lohia’s Kashipur manufacturing facility in Uttarakhand.
The company expects the UM Renegade Commando & UM Renegade Sport S to be game changer in Nepal. UM wants India to become a manufacturing hub for exports.

We not only confine ourselves to Indian market but are also working closely with Asia-Pacific markets as well with the aim of offering economical products to our customers, in this venture. I am hopeful that both our products Renegade Commando & Sports S will be a game changer in days to come in Nepal
Both the UM Renegade Commando and UM Renegade Sport S were initially retailed with a carburetted mill. The new BSIV version gets fuel injection. The 279 cc single cylinder mill is capable of producing 25 bhp of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 21.8 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. The gearbox is a 6 speed unit.
The company has a capacity of 50,000 units at the Uttarakhand plant. UM plans to ramp up production to 100,000 units with a new plant near Hyderabad.
