The Royal Enfield Himalayan was on sale for about 12 months in India.
A report in Autocar India claims that the BSIV compliant Royal Enfield Himalayan will launch in India by mid-August 2017. The company stopped retailing the bike since India switched to BSIV emission norms on April 1 2017.

The motorcycle was originally showcased in India in February 2016 and launched in March 2016. It launched with a carburetted engine and was the most affordable adventure tourer in India. Mr Rudratej Singh, President, Royal Enfield, confirmed to IAB recently that the fuel injected BSIV version of the bike will be coming ‘very soon’.
The powertrain will remain the 411 cc SOHC, air-cooled mill assisted by an oil-cooler. Coupled to a 5-speed gearbox the engine is capable of producing 24.5 bhp of maximum power and 32 Nm of peak torque.
Several dealers IAB contacted confirmed that they are accepting bookings for the BSIV compliant Royal Enfield Himalayan. However, the bike is claimed to have a waiting period of 5-6 weeks.

Surmising from the unusually high volume of complaints from Himalayan owners on Facebook, Twitter and messages we received in the last year, the motorcycle is plagued with quality and reliability issues since the launch. It is widely expected that Royal Enfield is silently working on fixing the issues, and the bike will be relaunched niggle-free with the BSIV version.
