The Royal Enfield Himalayan launched in India with a carburetted engine.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan is the first truly affordable adventure tourer in the country. The bike was launched in India in March 2016 after being showcased in February 2016.

Speaking to IAB this month, Mr Rudratej Singh, President, Royal Enfield, revealed that the BSIV version of the bike will be launched soon. Mr Singh said:
We are still working on the BSIV project. (Fuel injected version?, we ask) Yes, Yes, we are going to be coming out very soon with that. Other than that we are very, very delighted with the performance of the Himalayan. I am very confident about the future of the motorcycle.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan is powered by a new 411 cc SOHC, single cylinder air-cooled (assisted by an oil-cooler). Coupled to a 5-speed gearbox, the engine is capable of producing 24.5 bhp of maximum power at 6,500 rpm and 32 Nm of peak torque at 4,250 rpm.
The fuel-injected Royal Enfield Himalayan was first showcased at EICMA 2016. A big dealership we contacted reported that the BSIV compliant Royal Enfield Himalayan would be available in July.

The carburetted version of the Himalayan, which is not available any longer, was priced at INR 160,148 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
