Royal Enfield Continental GT’s more powerful version starts local testing.
Royal Enfield started testing the Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 (name TBC) in Europe last year and has now imported the motorcycle to India for local testing. The Royal Enfield GT 750 was recently spied testing on the Indian roads by Team-BHP forum member aravind.anand.
The Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 doesn’t look much different from the Royal Enfield Continental GT currently available in the market, but there are some notable changes on the 750 cc version. The turn indicators at the rear are positioned higher up, the gas charged shocks are positioned at the top instead of bottom and the chain and sprocket are placed on the left side of the motorcycle. What makes the bigger engine version instantly recognisable and sets it apart from the 535 cc engine version, is the dual exhaust setup.
The Royal Enfield Continental GT 750’s 750 cc twin-cylinder engine is expected to develop 45-50 bhp and 50-60 Nm of torque. Its rival Harley Davidson’s V-Twin engine puts out 59 Nm of torque.

Royal Enfield may produce the Continental GT 750 at its plant in Vallam Vadagal beginning later this year. The first phase of production at this plant located near Chennai will start in Q2 2017.
