The Yamaha R15 v3.0 will be a pitted against the Honda CBR150R and Suzuki GSX-R150.
The mystery faired motorcycle in Indonesia, which is reckoned as the Yamaha R15 v3.0, has been spotted in a new video by TMCBlog.
The Yamaha R15 v3.0 gets an exhaust which draws heavy inspiration from the existing version. The taillamp is sleeker and can trace its origins to the new R6. The bike will be suspended over upside down forks up front and a mono shock in the rear. Braking will be overseen by disc brakes and an ABS ring has not been seen yet on test bikes.
The Yamaha R15 v3.0 has been earlier confirmed to get several technology and safety updates. The inclusion of LED headlamps and the recently introduced Auto Headlamp On (AHO) feature in the Yamaha R15 v2.0 would help improve rider safety.
The present generation 149 cc mill is capable of producing 17 PS of maximum power and 15 Nm of peak torque. The new powertrain is expected to displace around 155 cc and will hopefully be able to produce more power than the present version. The inclusion of Variable Valve Actuation will hopefully make the Yamaha R15 v3.0 more rideable in city traffic.

The Yamaha R15 v3.0 will get a price bump and is expected to hit the streets in mid-2017. However, before that, Yamaha India has sent IAB an invite for a press conference on January 24, 2017.
